Our Executive Team
The executive team is responsible for improving CUSA services and working on the issues important to you. The CUSA President is elected at large each year, whereas the Vice Presidents are selected by CUSA Council. The VP Finance is selected by CUSA Council via recommendations from a hiring panel. Be sure to connect with them if you have any concerns, questions, or recommendations for CUSA.
Our Council
CUSA Council is where decisions about the association are made. Council is composed of voting members including the CUSA President, Faculty representatives (Councillors), a representative from the Rideau River Residence Association (RRRA), a representative from the Carleton Academic Student Government (CASG), and a student-at-large.
Many non-voting members participate in CUSA Council including the CUSA Vice-Presidents, the Graduate Students’ Association (GSA), and the Board of Governors Student Representatives.
Students are welcome to attend CUSA Council meetings. After each Council meeting, minutes are uploaded to the CUSA website and a recording of the meeting is uploaded to CUSA’s YouTube channel.

Our Board of Directors
The CUSA Board is responsible for overseeing CUSA in accordance with provincial law and applicable policies. The Board is responsible for securing the long-term future of CUSA financially and legally while safeguarding CUSA’s reputation and managing resource allocation and ensuring ethical operations.
