Gender & Sexuality Resource Centre (GSRC)

Welcome to the Gender and Sexuality Resource Centre – a friendly and welcoming space dedicated to supporting Carleton students of all gender identities and sexual orientations.

At the heart of our approach is an intersectional perspective, acknowledging the diverse and layered identities and lived experiences that each individual brings to our community. We are committed to fostering an inclusive space where everyone feels valued and respected.
Through our carefully curated programming, we strive to provide resources and opportunities for personal growth and empowerment. Our aim is to facilitate dialogue, understanding, and awareness around gender and sexuality-related topics.

The GSRC provides services such as:

• • Peer Support (navigating gender and sexuality, experiences of sexual violence, mental health, student life, and more)
  • Referrals to community supports for 2SLGBTQ+ people via a curated and always-evolving directory of resources
  • Safe(r) space training and gender and sexuality workshops, accessible by sending the GSRC an email!
  • Queer library with over 1000 books in our collection
  • Free safer sex supplies (condoms, lube, gloves, and dental dams)
  • A gender affirming gear program (offered periodically throughout the year on a flexible sliding scale)
  • A drop-in space to socialize, study, relax, etc.
  • A variety of social and educational events
  • Keep up with upcoming events by following us on instagram or joining our event reminders discord server!
