CUSA would like to reaffirm its commitment and belief in Safe Space and the Carleton University Safe Space Policy.
CUSA’s focus is on educating students and members of the Carleton community about what Safe Space is and why it is important. This past week CUSA held its annual Sexual Assault Awareness Week, the purpose of the week was to teach and create discussion with students about how sexual assault can effect various communities and what people can do to help stop sexual assaults from happening in the Carleton community. Throughout the year CUSA will continue to organize awareness weeks on a variety of issues that fall under the Safe Space umbrella.
As a student association, our desire is to always help educate students on these issues and as a result help build safer communities for all students. CUSA will continue to work towards building safer spaces throughout the Carleton community.
