Meiyah Brooks-Whiteduck is Algonquin Kwe from the Algonquins of Pikwàkanagàn First Nations. They are22 years old and have been beading since they were about 15 years old. They are a dancer and drummer in a drum group called Pikwàkanagàn Wildflowers and have recently started taking beading more seriously by beading sets for their jingle dress regalia and fancy shawl regalia. They hope to one day open a beading business.
