Trick or Eat
October 31, 2016 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
“Trick or Eat is a youth-led national event that puts a new spin on the annual night of giving- Halloween! Thousands of Trick or Eaters across Canada, go door to door to collect food for local community organizations, and funds to support students advocating for good food for all. Trick or Eat is a national day of action, for young people to come together and actively show that they want to see a difference on the issue of hunger on their campuses and in their communities. “
The CUSA Food Centre is proud to bring back our biggest event of the year, Trick or Eat. This year we will be starting off at BECS, at 5pm, for some food, introductions, and instructions. We will then be heading off into the Sunnyside neighborhood at 6:30pm to Trick or Eat! Bags will be provided and there will also be a van to collect your bags once they get too heavy. All the collections from the night will be for the Food Centre to support students that require food assistance.
Make sure to dress your Halloween best! There will be prizes for best costumes!
All participants are required to register online with Meal Exchange. You can register for the event at http://trickoreat.ca/index.php/get-involved/participate. Click on the ‘Join A Campaign’ tab and register under the CUSA Food Centre chapter. Registration will also be open and available during the event from 5:00-6:30pm. This is a volunteer event so we will be happy to approve CCR hours.
When: October 31st, 5:00-8:00pm
Where: BECS, UC 317
