Financial Literacy Month
November 6, 2017 @ 11:00 am - November 30, 2017 @ 4:00 pm

November is Financial Literacy Month (FLM)! FLM is coordinated by the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada (FCAC) and encourages organizations from the public, private and non-profit sectors to collaborate and promote the financial well-being of Canadians. At Carleton, we celebrate FLM with a variety of on-campus events, special blog posts, and social media fun – all to help students better manage their money and debt.
FLM 2017
FLM is all about learning to take charge of your finances. Our on-campus events are curated to focus on the specific financial challenges post-secondary students face. Here are a few of the topics you can learn about this November:
Budgeting irregular income (e.g. OSAP, scholarships, family assistance)
Student loan repayment
Responsible credit card use
Traveling on a budget
Banking products and how to protect yourself
Balance and consumerism
