The Vice President Community Engagement manages and fosters relationships between the University, students, and the Ottawa community at large.
Name: Morgan McKeen
Born and raised in Ottawa, Morgan chose Carleton to complete her degree in Communications and Media Studies with a Minor in Business. Morgan has made her mark on the University in her 4 years of study, notably as the President of Enactus Carleton, Events Coordinator for the Carleton University Exchange Association, and a Ravens Rhythm team member. Representing a brand new executive role, Morgan wants to use her time at CUSA to make a difference and ensure students are reaching their full potential with all the opportunities Carleton has to offer.

Kijiji for Carleton - A CUSA Managed Marketplace.
Buying new is expensive and unsustainable. We will build better campus-wide rental and exchange services through a CUSA managed marketplace, featuring a Clear Out Campaign garage sale event. This will ensure safe and designated meet-up spaces for exchanges.
Be Your Own Boss. Start-up Fest at Carleton.
Start-Up Fest will feature week-long programming to engage with start-up education for students. Students will be able to connect with local accelerators and incubators, to help get your ideas off the ground. The Fest will offer a range of services, opportunities, and events to connect and teach students about the world of start-ups.
Brunch is on Us. Increase CUSA Engagement Opportunities.
We will introduce CUSA Breakfast Club, an accessible space to chat while enjoying free breakfast. This will also act as roaming executive office hours, so you have more opportunity to get to know your CUSA executives and talk to them about the issues that you care about. CUSA Breakfast Club will feature on the go brown bag meals, for those who want to grab a bite on their way to class.
Work when you want, where you want. Brand Ambassador Jobs.
Ottawa is home to several marketing agencies. Morgan and her team Students First want to create temporary job opportunities for students through brand ambassador contracts with marketing agencies. These jobs will be flexible and a great source of extra income for students.
Leverage Carleton’s Alumni Network. Get a Job Before you Graduate.
One of the biggest benefits to attending university is the network and some of our biggest connections are former students. We want to ensure that current students are always connected to opportunities through access to notable carleton alumni. As you prepare for graduation, a stronger Alumni Network will help you to build more connections with alumni in your field. We will host alumni dinners for current students to get to know alumni in their field of interest, and help to empower students to get involved with alumni-created initiatives.
