Ranked voting simulation

Help us test our new ranked voting system! Following the 2016 CUSA Council decision to implement ranked voting in CUSA elections, we’ve been working on adding it to the online ballots. Our goal is to have the system ready to use in the 2018 general election.

Test the ranked ballot
We’re testing a couple different options for the format of the ballot. Here’s how you can try them out:

  1. Click here to access the sample ballot. The ballot uses last year’s Executive and Engineering and Design candidates as an example.
  2. Rank candidates for each executive position by selecting one candidate for each ranking (1st choice, 2nd choice, etc.).
  3. For the faculty candidates, try both ballot options. In Option 1, you should select one candidate for each ranking, as above. For Option 2, type the number corresponding with the rank you want. Again, you can only pick one candidate per rank.

Join the Ranked Voting Committee
Students who want to be involved in decisions relating to ranked voting are encouraged to join the CUSA Ranked Voting Committee. Email vpi@cusaonline.ca to find out more.
