About the Food Centre
The Food Centre is an on campus food bank and resource centre, dedicated to food security for all students.
Good Food Box Program
The Good Food Box program, which works with local farmers to provide students with $5, $10, $15, or $20 boxes of fresh produce for a significantly reduced cost compared to retail. The Food Centre’s Food Security services in addition to events such as Trick or Eat, support the ongoing efforts of all food banks in the Ottawa region.
Emergency Food Assistance Program
The Emergency Food Assistance Program provides food hampers to students in need. To request a hamper, students must fill out the Hamper Request Form and bring it in to the centre. Students requesting a hamper for the first time must also fill out the Food Bank Intake Form and bring it on their first visit. Hampers must be requested 24 hours prior to pick up. Students are limited to one food request every three weeks, and they should bring 2-3 bags when they pick up their hamper.
All of the Food Centre’s programs are made possible by a dedicated team of volunteers. Fill out the volunteer form to get involved.
